About meI do not know if I can call my self an artist, as it is a difficult word for one to say.
I am not static, and I am not one thing only, but if I could say something is that I want to be everything and everywhere. My work aims to provoke and show life in all its dimensions. I am interested in the bizarre, the unseen, the hidden part of the world. Through my work I earn to give voice to the incredible fighters against brutality, economical war and normality, My recent thoughts are concentrate in the political issues and refugees crisis where I think there has to be a huge change on how we think about the world. War was always in the ''picture'', fashion was invented to control our perspective in beauty, and we are not free. We suffer from -made up- depressions, trying to unsuccessfully 'fit in' to something called normal. Through my work I wish to smash this normality and show all kinds of beauty, turn the unacceptable into acceptable and provoke the mind to understand the importance of human rights politically, economically and socially. |
My story
|
I was born in a small island in Greece called Rhodes. I was very young when I realise I want to do art professionally and since then I have never stopped painting and drawing. I have always a little sketchbook in my bag and I am drawing everything I found interesting. My family was a great influence for me and helped me to understand what is like to be an artist, what it means, how difficult but also amazing the path will be.
I have the unstoppable desire to express everything I think and feel and, I wish to communicate with others through my paintings, to make them think or feel, and in a strange way I will feel connected to them. |
